Kristine has told Cora’s story in front of federal advisory committees, state-level legislative committees, parent advocates, and in front of clinicians.
Kristine is available to talk about her experience with Cora, work in her name, and her viewpoint as a parent to a baby that passed away from congenital heart defects.
A leading newborn health advocate, Kristine’s been recognized nationally as a source for newborn health advocacy and information.
Potential speech topics include:
Cora’s Story- Kristine openly and honestly shares her moving experience with Cora. Cora’s story is attention getting and highlights the need for better newborn care, especially for better congenital heart defect testing and diagnosis. Kristine will share Cora’s Story and make connections to how her experience can improve your organization or inspire your audience into action.
Using Storytelling in Social Media to Motivate Change- Nonprofits are constantly seeking ways to improve their social media communications. Kristine has reached hundreds of thousands of parents on social media, and successfully persuaded them to ask for screening for their babies. Partially due to the demand from these consumers, the screening was recommended federally and mandated in numerous hospitals. Kristine shares her experience with storytelling, her successes, and how your organization can use those lessons.
Empowered Parents: Engaged Parents Make for Healthier Children- E-patients are changing the way the health care system works, but what about the parents of patients are they part of the e-patient movement. Kristine will explain how her experience has transformed her into a patient-parent advocate. The presentation can be tailored to parents (empowering them to become fully engaged in their child’s care) and clinicians (explaining the role of an empowered parent in the medical system).
